Hull City defender Paul McShane is at loggerheads with manager Steve Bruce.

Bruce is annoyed with McShane for announcing his demotion to the Under-21s on Twitter.

McShane responded to messages of support by tweeting: "I could be here all night retweeting everyone, but I've gotta get some sleep for U/21 training tomoz."

The Irish defender has not figured for Hull since their lame loss at Burnley on November 8 and Bruce claims he should have kept his mouth shut.

"I could go on Twitter and tell you the reason why, but maybe Paul can enlighten you why he's with the Under-21s," said the irritated Bruce.

"I'll never go to the media or on Twitter on things which remain in-house.

"Maybe he'll go on Twitter and tell the real reason why, then you'll all know."
