Chris Rolfe admits he would again one day like to represent the USA national team.
The 29-year old, who recently returned to Chicago Fire from Danish club Aalborg, has played 10 times for the US, with his last appearance coming in 2008, and he has indicated he would like to push his way into calculations again provided he does well at club level.
"If I can do that successfully, then the onus is on the national team scouts to decide if it's good enough for their team or not.""It crosses my mind, but I've always been more concerned with performing for my club," he stressed.
Rolfe also compared the two leagues he has played in, suggesting that football in Denmark is far more regulated from a game style viewpoint.
"The two styles seem very different. Aalborg focuses a lot on organization and the league clearly has its own style of play. The MLS doesn't necessarily have a defined style of play, but is more reliant on creativity and the athleticism of its players," he added.
