Nigel Reo-Coker has given the strongest indication yet that he will be staying with Aston Villa.
The 26-year old midfielder has had some clouded times at Villa Park in the last year or so but since the arrival of Gerard Houllier, has again become a first team regular.
There was talk that Reo-Coker may be off as a free agent in the summer but he has hinted that he wants to be a part of something special in the claret and blue.
"It is very positive. I think the club is heading in the right direction," he told Express and Star.
"There is nothing more and nothing less to say than the club is going in the right direction with signing players like Darren Bent.
"The manager and the chairman are showing how ambitious and how serious they are taking things forward at the football club."
