Rennes striker Ola Toivonen regrets missing out on a past move to Liverpool.
Former Reds boss Kenny Dalglish famously was keen to bring the Swede to Anfield when Toivonen was starring with PSV Eindhoven.
Toivonen recalled: "I needed a new challenge. Compared to the Eredivisie, here the game is much harder.
"The only regret of my career relates to the 2010-11 season when I was playing in Eindhoven.
"Two offers arrived from Liverpool, but not enough to convince PSV, who refused to let me go."
