Club World Cup final ref Janny Sikazwe has defended not sending off Sergio Ramos during Real Madrid's Club World Cup final victory over Kashima Antlers.
At 2-2 and with Ramos already booked, he committed a foul which many believed warranted a second yellow card.
However, Sikazwe chose not to send off the Real captain and explained to FilGoal: "It was a miscommunication ...
"It was only for a miscommunication between my assistant and me.
"He told me of the foul and told me in the earpiece that 'no card' However, I understood 'card'."
Making things worse was Sikazwe booked Casemiro for complaining, but insisted: "It was no more than that: a lack of understanding."
