Brisbane Roar manager John Aloisi is expecting a tough clash against Liverpool on Friday.

Liverpool begin their pre-season tour of Australia with a clash against Brisbane Roar on Friday night and the match will be a good run out for the Reds.

Brisbane Roar manager Aloisi is not expecting Liverpool to take it easy just because the match is a friendly though, and has stated that the Reds will be looking to prove a point with another good performance on Friday.

Aloisi said: "Liverpool are definitely not here for a holiday. When you're at a big club like Liverpool, you're judged and scrutinised on every performance, especially in pre-season.

"They'll be feeling that straight away. They won't want a bad performance or a bad result. We expect a tough game and a Liverpool that are going to want to prove to the world they're going to be strong this season."
