Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard has asked newly appointed club captain Jordan Henderson to call him up for advice any time.
Henderson succeeded Gerrard as the captain of the Merseyside club after the 35-year-old moved to MLS champions LA Galaxy in the summer.
25-year-old midfielder Henderson has revealed that Gerrard has offered his aid to the new Reds skipper in a bid to make the transition seamless.
"I still speak to him on a regular basis," said Henderson on the club's pre-season tour in Kuala Lumpur.
"He always tells me that, if I need any advice, he is always on the end of a phone.
"I have taken as much as I could from him and I will try and use that. But going forward I have got to do what I believe is right and what I want to do."
