Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has revealed that he spoke to Inter Milan's Jose Mourinho but Jermaine Jenas' name was never mentioned.

Reports suggest that Redknapp and Mourinho were keen to deal with a potential player swap; Jenas for Ricardo Quaresma, but the Spurs boss has quickly denied any such talk.

"No they never mentioned any players," Redknapp told setanta.com.

"All the talk about Jermaine Jenas, they never mentioned his name.

"I was going to take the boy who has gone to Chelsea, you know, Quaresma, but unfortunately in the end he has gone to Chelsea.

"I spent about half an hour on the phone to Jose Mourinho talking about football and players."
