Redknapp denies Tottenham over-reliant on Lennon

Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp insists they're not over-reliant on injured England star Aaron Lennon.

Spurs have now won just once in the last six Barclays Premier League matches and have scored three league goals in 2010.

That the run has coincided with a groin injury to winger Lennon has not gone unnoticed but Redknapp dismissed suggestions they were struggling to hit top form without the England international.

"We have been playing well. It is difficult to put your finger on it but we ran out of ideas (against Wolves)," he said. "It was only when we got the ball to Gareth Bale and David Bentley we looked like we could break them.

"Other than that we lacked a little bit of magic from someone to do something special. We're not sure when Aaron Lennon will be back, we just have to wait and see.

"He has not joined in training yet but he is a lad who can open up teams for you.

"But we have played great without him."
