Former Liverpool star Jamie Redknapp has backed the ten game ban for Luis Suarez.

Redknapp called for the FA to get tough across the board as the debate rages over whether Suarez has been harshly treated.

He said: "You have to accept the crime he committed probably warranted 10 games.

"It was an awful act of brutality and it will hit him where it hurts because he just wants to play.

"But I just hope the FA implement it more widely now, because you see people going over the top of the ball and they have turned a blind eye to that.

"They have to make it the same for everyone else now."
