Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp admits Chelsea remain in the boxseat for Bolton Wanderers defender Gary Cahill.
He admitted the England international is of interest to him but bemoaned the higher wage budget that cash-rich clubs like Chelsea can offer.
"I couldn't sit here and say that we wouldn't be interested in him, of course we would, for sure," Redknapp confessed. "But I don't know what the situation is with Chelsea.
"It's difficult trying to beat Chelsea if you're after the same player, let's be honest. Their wage structure would be on a different level to ours so it's difficult.
"If you're both in for the same player they're probably going to blow you out of the water in the end. It's a difficult one to get involved in."
