Torino attacker Alvaro Recoba insists comparisons with fellow Uruguayan Edison Cavani, the Palermo striker, are wide of the mark.

"We're two completely different players," said Recoba. "Cavani is more of a centre-forward, even if at the moment he is playing often on the wing, he is a genuine striker.

"It's best we do avoid comparisons. He should be left alone to do well in Italy."
