Real Zaragoza have signed Roberto Ayala from Villarreal.

Ayala had joined Villarreal on a Bosman from Valencia, but will now pull on Zaragoza's shirt for the new season after they agreed to pay his £4 million buyout clause.

The Argentine veteran, 33, arrives as a direct replacement for Gaby Milito, who joined Barcelona last week, and has signed a three-year contract worth £1 million-a-season.
