Real Sociedad striker Umar Sadiq says his injury recovery is well ahead of schedule.
The Nigeria international suffered an ACL injury in September and was expected to miss the remainder of the season. However, Sadiq believes he will be back on the pitch in March.
“I am going to complete four months of operation and rehabilitation this month, but I already feel good and I will return to work in the fields next month (February)," Sadiq said.
“That is way ahead of my plan. It's a miracle that even my doctors can't believe. I am supposed to be out for at least six months and the doctors insist that it has to be that long.
"However, I've been told I need to be 150% fit before I can come back so I don't have a relapse.
"From what it seems, I will return in eight weeks or maybe even sooner."
