Real Sociedad striker Alexander Sorloth says the players are delighted despite defeat at home to Manchester United.
The 1-0 result still saw La Real finish Europa League group winners on goal difference.
Sorloth said, “This was our goal before the group stage and after the draw I think it was pretty clear who were the favourites in the group: us and United. Today we lost but obviously we were playing for the result. Defensively, we were strong today and we controlled the game.
“It's huge; you could hear it from the fans after the game. Everyone in the stadium stayed to cheer us on. It was amazing and they supported us the entire match.
“I think we have a really strong team this year – the sky is the limit. But of course the most important game is always the next one, so we shouldn't get too much ahead of ourselves."
