Real Sociedad president Jokin Aperribay says they're under no pressure to sell Takefusa Kubo.
The attacker has been linked with a return to former club Real Madrid.
But Aperribay says: "The first will will be that of Take. The better La Real, the more importance La Real has at the international level, the more feasible it will be for the great players to continue in La Real.
"Take is very happy in La Real and La Real is very happy with Take, we hope that his presence in La Real remains a long time. And, if Take is not there, we will try to find another Take for Real and for Spanish football.
"100% of the rights are held by La Real. If we sell the player, Madrid has approximately 50% of the surplus value of the sale. The will to sell is not of La Real."
