Real Sociedad are keen to wrap up a deal for Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek this week.
The two clubs are in talks about Van de Beek moving to San Sebastian.
La Real want to take Van de Beek on an initial loan deal with the option to buy due to concerns about the Dutchman's injury issues.
However, the sticking point is the player's £140,000-a-week wages.
Any loan arrangement would involve United covering a percentage of Van de Beek's salary.
