Real Sociedad chief Roberto Olabe admits they'd like to keep hold of Alexander Sorloth.
The Norway striker was on-loan at La Real this season from RB Leipzig.
Olabe told AS: “It is true that Sorloth is not ours, but we are happy with everything he has done. We have been convinced of what he has given us because we have signed him twice.
"You know what the coach thinks, but in his negotiation the possibility of having priority over him did not come up. We love him, there is little doubt. The key is whether Leipzig is seeing a return for him or seeing a deal. We have not stopped having contact with them, but the people in its structure have changed."
On veteran David Silva, he also said: "David helps us a lot. But above all because of how he makes us get to the game, how he demands from his teammates and also from the coach himself. And that makes us better and evolve. He has ended up with a calf problem, but we are calm."
