Real Sociedad coach David Moyes has named Billy McKinlay as his new No2.
The former Northern Ireland and Watford assistant coach has been in San Sebastian with Moyes since Tuesday.
He watched Thursday's training session but has not yet officially joined the club, something Moyes said would happen "in the next 48 hours".
"I haven't worked with him before but he has a great knowledge of football, he's a great coach, very well respected, very enthusiastic and dynamic, so there are many reasons to bring him along," Moyes explained.
