Real Salt Lake appoint ex-Chicago Fire defender Brown as assistant

Real Salt Lake have installed recently-retired Chicago Fire defender CJ Brown as its new assistant coach.

The 35-year old steps into the position vacated by Robin Fraser, who left to take the head coaching role at Chivas USA.

Brown, who made close to 300 league appearances with the Fire, joins Jason Kreis' coaching staff who already had Mike Matkovich added to it earlier this week.
