Real Mallorca coach Javier Aguirre sought to ease tension at the end of yesterday's 2-2 draw at Ray Vallecano.
Mallorca left with a point after Radamel Falcao struck a 102nd minute penalty for Rayo's equaliser which had been controversially won by Raul de Tomas.
Aguirre said: "I don't want to argue. They have enough with 90 minutes to add more salt to the wound. They have hard work, and I admire them for their courage and ability. There are times when you understand that they can make mistakes and nothing happens."
"I came in 2002-03, we tied 0-0 and I became fond of it (Vallecas).
"Hugo Sánchez and Guillermo Mendizábal played here, two Mexican players that I admire, and I feel a lot of affection for the area and the stadium. The people have always treated me well. They are good people."
