Real Madrid winger Asensio: Spain in good dynamic after Costa Rica

Real Madrid winger Marco Asensio was delighted scoring in Spain's World Cup rout of Costa Rica.

Asensio struck as Spain opened their campaign with a 7-0 win.

He said, "We are very confident in our work. The team had a good dynamic, we are working very well together, and with the level of this team anything can happen. We put in a great performance. It was a fantastic victory, with a lot of goals and we are very happy. Personally, I'm also happy for the goal and for contributing to the national team. I will look to continue in this vein and hope that many more will come.

"I played in my most natural position. Although it's true that in recent years I have played more like a winger, this is a more comfortable position for me. Things have gone very well so far.

“It is now time to focus on the Germany game. We are aware that every match is important to go through and we want to concentrate on doing our job and take it step by step and do things well. We hope to get as far as possible and if we come up against a team-mate, it is always special and enjoyable situation."
