Real Madrid are watching Rafinha's situation at Barcelona.

The Brazilian has admitted he seriously considered quitting Barca last summer as talk surfaced of coach Luis Enrique overhauling his midfield.

Don Balon says Real were monitoring the situation and remain keen on Rafinha.

"It happened when I was at the Olympic Games, the club hired a lot of players and I talked to them," said the midfielder.

"They always made it clear that they were counting on me.

"This has been my best start to the season with Barcelona and I am working hard to maintain this regularity."
