Real Madrid are making a first move for Tottenham star Gareth Bale.

The Daily Star says Bale is set for talks with Real Madrid over a sensational £40m summer move to Spain.

The Tottenham star is being tracked by Real as they look for a replacement for the unsettled Cristiano Ronaldo at the Bernabeu.

And they are prepared to stump up a £30m down payment with a further £10m over the next four years to get their man.
