Marcelo said, “I am certain we can get back to our best. Real Madrid never gives up, we will fight for everything. We have won everything over recent years and one bad season does not take away from what Real Madrid is. The work starts now.

“We need to share the blame. We started badly and ended badly. We didn't want the season to be like this, we want to fight for every title. This was a hard season, for me it was hard personally. We tried everything we could to make the fans happy, that was not possible. Next season starts here, we need to look at what went wrong so we don't make the same mistakes."
