Real Madrid are readying a £22million offer for David De Gea according to reports.
The Daily Mail is of the belief that the Spanish giants will soon lodge the aforementioned bid with Manchester United as they continue their pursuit of the 24-year old goalkeeper.
De Gea has a year to run on his current deal with United who see him valued at closer to £35m suggesting that Real's opening ploy could prove unsuccessful.
It is believed that Spain international De Gea is keen to return to his home city but the Red Devils do not want to lose one of the world's most promising glovemen for below the odds after paying Atletico Madrid £17.8m in 2011.
