Real Madrid are struggling to find the funds to test Liverpool's resolve over Luis Suarez. Real coach Jose Mourinho is aware of Suarez's problems in England and would welcome the Uruguay international to Madrid this month.
Sport says Real are preparing a €22 million offer for the prolific forward.
But that falls well short of Liverpool's valuation for Suarez, who signed for the Reds 12 months ago from Ajax for €26 million.
