Real Madrid striker Joselu happy with brace for win at Getafe

Real Madrid striker Joselu was delighted with his goals in victory at Getafe.

Joselu struck twice as Real won 2-0 on Thursday night.

He later said: "We knew the complexity of the game because Getafe are a very physical team and they were going to make things difficult for us. We saw that in the first leg at the Bernabéu. We were convinced that it was a great day to take the lead in a postponed match that we had to win. Now we have some very important games coming up and we're looking forward to them.

"We had to work on today's game from the start because they are strong at home, either because they haven't lost a game or just one. The team worked hard, we were calm and we made the most of the chances we had. We could have scored a few more goals and Real Madrid were better.

"The team is working very well and the 25 of us in the squad are all on board. All of us are contributing. We have a very healthy and very good team. That's reflected when the coach gives us the opportunity for games like today and we get through them."

He added, "I'm happy for the game. I'm happy to bag a brace for Real Madrid and for the win. This is synonymous with work and the most important thing for me was to win."
