Real Madrid are closing on a deal for River Plate midfielder Exequiel Palacios.

Marca says while an agreement is yet to be closed between Real Madrid and River Plate for Palacios' signing, the deal is set to be finalised after the Copa Libertadores final against Boca Juniors.

The second leg is set for November 24 and from that point Los Blancos will be able to put pen to paper for the 20-year-old talent's acquisition.

According to Telemadrid, Palacios will sign for the next five season and River will receive 20 million euros.

Madrid have already contacted the Argentine team eager to pay more than his 15 million dollars buy-out clause to overcome the competition.
