Real Madrid signing Brahim Diaz has posted a farewell message to AC Milan.

After three seasons on-loan with Milan, Brahim has since signed a new deal with Real Madrid.

He posted to social media:

“Dear Milan, today I have to say goodbye and thank you for everything we've lived together. From the first moment I wore this shirt, I knew I was in a special place.

“My teammates. You guys have been like family to me because we have shared laughter, tears and successes. You taught me the true meaning of effort and teamwork. Heartfelt thanks also to the mister, the staff, the doctors and the people of the club.

“And to you fans what can I say!? You guys are the best. With your support and passion, you pushed us in every match. Your choirs and energy made every moment on the field unforgettable. I am truly grateful for all the love and encouragement you have shown me during my time here. I know that in good and difficult times you will continue to cheer and support this team.

“This goodbye doesn't mean I'll forget you. I will always carry in my heart the memories of the moments we shared together, like the important goals, the exciting victories and the crazy celebrations. But also the hard moments that made us stronger as a team.

“I greet you with nostalgia, but also with emotion for what's to come. Forza Milan!"
