Real Madrid's Alonso: We will go to Man Utd looking for a win

Xabi Alonso insists that Real Madrid will be out to secure a victory in their Champions League Round of 16 return bout with Manchester United.

The Spanish champions were held to a 1-1 draw by United in Madrid tonight and the former Liverpool midfielder has made it clear that he and his teammates will be pushing for a result in the second leg at Old Trafford on March 5.

"I think it's not bad at all," he told Sky Sports 2 regarding the draw.

"It could have been better because we had chances. (But) they had chances. So, looking forward to the second leg. It's quite open.

"We need to go for the win. We can't approach the second leg thinking about a draw. We want to go to Old Trafford to score goals."
