The Daily Mail says Real Madrid are weighing up a £12million move for Chelsea star Alex.
Bayern Munich have earmarked the Brazil centre half as a potential signing after growing frustrated in their negotiations with Manchester City for Germany defender Jerome Boateng.
However, after making discreet enquiries over Alex's availability, they have discovered Real are also keen.
