Real Madrid president Florentino Perez says Carlo Ancelotti did not want to sign Radamel Falcao.
Falcao has joined Manchester United on-loan from AS Monaco after pushing to sign for Real over the summer.
"We considered bringing Falcao on board, but we decided against it.
"The coach's opinion on the matter was an important factor in this decision," said Perez.
