Real Madrid president Florentino 'will meet buyout clause' of Man Utd target Griezmann

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is prepared to meet the buyout clause of Antoine Griezmann next summer.

Perez sees the Atletico Madrid ace as Cristiano Ronaldo's long-term successor and will have no problem matching the Frenchman's €100m clause.

Pundit Eduardo Inda revealed on El Chiringuito de Jugones: "Griezmann had a €100m clause, raised to €200m this summer and has now dropped back to €100m.

"Madrid believes that he would be an excellent alternative to Cristiano Ronaldo, who is not eternal. Griezmann is 22, 23 years old (he's actually 26 years old) and Cristiano is 32 and Benzema is going to turn 30 in December..."

Manchester United are also expected to compete for Griezmann, who was close to moving to Old Trafford over the summer only to commit to Atletico due to their transfer ban.
