Real Madrid president Florentino Perez plans to be busy in the January market.

Trailing Barcelona by five points in the LaLiga race and battling for form in the Champions League, Perez recognises his squad needs to be freshened up.

Don Balon says intermediaries have been dispatched across Europe to start testing the ground about bringing in their top transfer targets over the New Year.

The summer market is the focus, however buying in January has not been ruled out.

David De Gea (Manchester United), Kepa (Athletic Bilbao), Harry Kane (Tottenham), Icardi (Inter Milan) ... all are on the list.

But in addition, another surprise may come. Players like Eden Hazard (Chelsea), Antoine Griezmann (Atletico Madrid) and Paulo Dybala (Juventus) are also on the agenda.

A Galactico, or two, is now the transfer focus for Perez.
