Real Madrid president Florentino panics over falling Bale price

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is facing a huge loss on the summer sale of Gareth Bale.

Bale was left kicking his heels in the away dugout for last night's Champions League win at Bayern Munich. Madrid media sources noted the lack of celebration from the Welshman for Real's two goals and his general sullen mood.

Diario Gol says Perez is now concerned he will be forced to slash his asking price for Bale, with no offer above €60m having arrive since the New Year - and his price now falling.

Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham have all made enquiries, though Spurs are the only club to table a solid bid - €60m.

Meanwhile, Real coach Zinedine Zidane said of Bale last night: "I have to make choices and I've got some very good players in the squad. There are some players who are performing well at the moment. There are still more games to come and I'll be relying on him. It's not true that I don't play him."
