Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has made a first serious move in American soccer.
Florentino's construction company, ACS, will be involved in the building of New York City FC's stadium. ACS will be working with Turner Construction.
The stadium must be built by 2027 after the World Cup hosted by the United States with Canada and Mexico.
"We are honoured to be part of the team building the new home of NYCFC. The stadium will elevate the experience for this incredible team and its fans," said Turner vice president Charlie Whitney.
