Real Madrid president Florentino Perez made his way to the locker room after their 0-0 draw against Athletic Bilbao.

Diario Gol says Perez was eager to console Sergio Ramos after his dismissal on Saturday.

The pair have had some disagreements in recent weeks over Ramos' contract demands and the club's transfer policy. But the president chose to put that aside to put an arm around his captain after another tough game.

Perez urged Ramos not to be so hard on himself - and also to forget about Barca's lead at the top of the table. Instead, he pushed the defender to focus on winning the Club World Cup.
