Real Madrid president Florentino fires ultimatum at De Gea; keeps Courtois on alert

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has told Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea that in 2018 it will be now or never.

Diario Gol says Real have retained their interest in the Spaniard after his proposed move to the Bernabeu fell through at the 11th hour two and a half years ago.

They have attempted to sign him in the subsequent two summer windows but failed, and Perez has put a deadline on next summer to finally get the deal done,.

And De Gea has been warned that if he does not complete the switch at the end of the current campaign, Real will instead move for Chelsea shot-stopper Thibaut Courtois.

Courtois is open to a return to Madrid after spending three seasons on-loan with Atletico Madrid.
