Real Madrid president Florentino Perez insists Jose Mourinho is at the Santiago Bernabeu for the long haul.
There's talk in England that Mourinho will use Real as a stop-gap while he waits for Sir Alex Ferguson to eventually step down at Manchester United.
But it seems Mourinho, unlike Manuel Pellegrini, will be given time to get things right at the Bernabeu.
"We have contracted Mourinho for four years," Perez said.
"We had the opportunity to sign someone I believe is the best coach in the world and we didn't want to let that opportunity pass by."
On Mourinho's style of play, Perez added: "He knows he is coming to a club where, as well as winning, the fans call for entertainment.
But he added: "I have no doubts about the football he will bring. I remember that his Porto and Chelsea sides played good football."
