Real Madrid president Florentino concedes: We lost our winning hunger

Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez concedes the team fell short last season.

Speaking at Sunday's General Assembly, Perez admits the club had lost it's intesity after their recent Champions League success.

He was quoted by Okdiario: "The last season was not the desired season. When this occurs after such a successful period, it deserves reflection and self-criticism.

"Something has happened to us. We did not have the necessary intensity, even though now the world of football is much more competitive. We must think that the success we have had has made us lose intensity and we know that we must recover the thirst for victory, but we must do justice to this team, which made history.

"With these players, those who were there and those who came, who all have a lot of future, we have to find the path we lost. When you win many things for many years, these phenomena occur in Real Madrid and everywhere else. We will regain the competitiveness we have lost."
