Real Madrid president Calderon: I don't want Man Utd war
Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon admits he's keen to avoid Manchester United in this week's Champions League draw.
On the possibility of a meeting with United, Sir Alex Ferguson and Cristiano Ronaldo, whom Real tried to sign in the summer, Calderon said: "I respect Ferguson very much.
"He is a very talented coach who has been in football for a long time. I don't want to be in a quarrel with him. Ronaldo decided to stay there and we respect that decision."

if a player wants to leave,then whats the point in tryin to keep him! im a giallorossi supporter an on my many years i've seen endless talent move to the north,Be it milanesse or cheatin snakes juve.. but most have not really gone on to better an bigger things"bench warmers"in fact..so eventualy are moved on again! real have always liked to do their washing in the open,an it was only last year they announced they'd signed KAKA. ha
Lan Choos. it ain't shopping at tescos. you have to have a willing seller and i am fairly confident that hell would freeze over before fergie would sell ronaldo to real madrid because they quite simply are a bunch of arrogant a**eholes who need to be taught a lesson. I am sure any AC Milan, Juve, Munich, Arsenal, Chelsea, Inter or Roma fan would agree with me. Learn to behave with dignity or everyone will carry on hating the t**sers. All clubs tap players up but they don't use their own press in a pathetic attempt to claim deniability. Still cheating is what Latins are good at. Anything but honour and hard work.
