Real Madrid have offered defender Ezequiel Garay to Manchester United.

The Mirror says Argentinian centre half Garay, 23, is available in January after falling out of favour with Real Madrid coach Manuel Pellegrini.

United have been hit with a defensive crisis which has led them to consider making a move for former England defender Sol Campbell in January.

Garay could be available for around £6m with Real Madrid reluctant to do a loan deal which may have suited United better as a stop-gap signing.
