Real Madrid must overcome lifetime contract dilemma to offload Casillas

Real Madrid face having to pay Iker Casillas a fortune to get him off the books.

AS says with Levante goalkeeper Keylor Navas on his way, Real football chiefs would prefer to keep hold of Diego Lopez ahead of keeper rival Casillas.

That's in contrast to president Florentino Perez and GM Jose Angel Perez, who both spoke with Casillas before the World Cup about playing one more season with Real before leaving next summer.

However, the Navas deal has changed everything and Perez now faces the massive dilemma of moving on the Real captain.

Adding to complications is Casillas' unique contract, which is basically a 'lifetime' deal and will mean Real needing to reward him handsomely to convince the veteran to leave.
