Real Madrid midfielder Kroos slams Hazard: He let his career die

Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos has taken a new swipe at former teammate Eden Hazard.

Hazard is leaving Real Madrid after being released from his contract.

Discussing Jude Bellingham's arrival, Kroos said: "Has Bellingham cost 103 million (euros)? Here we have had players who came for much more money and have let their career die. A great investment was made and everyone knows that it was not a good transfer."

Just a few months ago, Kroos said: "I don't think Eden has a bad life. You can sympathize with people who are having a clearly worse time.

"It's not about money, I just haven't felt sorry for anyone in football . Of course, the situation has been difficult for a long time, but after all, everyone is to some extent responsible for their own situation. For I think that pity is out of place. I know Eden very well, we talk often, but I only feel sorry for people who are in very bad situations and Eden is not one of them."
