Real Madrid make contact with Roma fullback Leonardo Spinazzola

Real Madrid are watching Italy fullback Leonardo Spinazzola at Euro 2020.

The Roma defender's form has caught the eye of Real Madrid scouts.

Gazzetta dello Sport via Okdiario says Real Madrid have contacted Spinazzola's agents directly to find out about his situation.

At the moment, Roma are not thinking about parting with him, although it was not a resounding no, since his profile continues to grow with his performances during this European Championship.

Roma would be willing to sell should offers begin reaching the €45m mark.

Real Madrid are in the market for a new right-sided fullback to compete with Ferland Mendy. Dani Carvajal's injury concerns over the past year have forced Real Madrid to consider their options. Spinazzola's impact at the Euros have convinced the Spanish giants to register their interest.

Last season, 28 year-old Spinazzola managed 39 appearances for Roma, scoring two goals and producing eight assists. His contract with Jose Mourinho's Giallorosso runs to 2024.
