Wales star Hal Robson-Kanu has credited Real Madrid and Juventus legend Zinedine Zidane as the inspiration behind his 'Cruyff turn' goal against Belgium.
The 27-year-old masterminded a perfect turn before scoring Wales' second goal in the 3-1 quarter-final win over Belgium on the weekend and has attracted plenty of attention since.
“Zinedine Zidane is the player I watched the most growing up and he used to use it a lot," the former Reading star told the Daily Mail when asked about his goal.
“It was nice to execute it in a game like that and for it to be so significant, it's a special feeling. It was very instinctive.
“When you're in those situations, all footballers will say, instinct kicks in."
