Real Madrid hold first refusal on Ajax striker Klaas Jan Huntelaar, it has been revealed.

While the Dutchman's contract wrangle with Ajax has alerted Manchester United and Arsenal, Marca says Real will have final say over where the striker will next move.

Real negotiated an option on Huntelaar during talks last summer over a deal for Wesley Sneijder.
