Real Madrid goalkeeper Courtois: No assumptions about Al Ain

Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois is delighted to be in the Club World Cup final.

Real will face Al Ain after victory over Kashima Antlers last night.

Courtois said: "We need to win the Club World Cup. We cannot make assumptions about the team we face and we have to beat them. We've seen yesterday's game against River, Al Ain and you cannot make assumptions regarding the opposition, it's hard.

"We must adapt well because they play in a different style to what we are used to in Europe."

The Belgian added: “The first goal was a beautiful effort and then in the second half we had to put it to bed, and we did so. We have to play with intensity and up the pace because if we manage to play at a quick tempo they can't keep it up. They had a good chance from the corner but from 1-0 onwards we played well. The goal we conceded is a shame because we dropped off slightly."
