Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane has hinted he'd like to see Luka Modric given a new deal.

The veteran midfielder's current contract expires in June.

Zidane said: “He's not just any old player, he's a role model.

"He's very important within the team and I've got no doubts about what a good player he is.

"We're here to do things well altogether."
